This is one of many ethereal, mellow songs on Matthew Hemerlein put out on his first album under his stage name Lo-Fang. He plays almost all of the music on the album. I’m not sure why, but it seems like a popular song to do dance choreography to, as there are many videos highlighting them on YouTube.
There are lots of different live versions on YouTube, but the one from a few years before the song’s release on Big Ugly Yellow Couch, where he uses loops to perform is highly recommended.
